Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, is perhaps the most venerated contemporary Saint of the Roman Catholic Church, with millions of followers all over the world. Yet, when it comes to presenting the life of Saint Pio, no recent biographical documentary has been produced … until now!
It was important that we ensured that those who know of Saint Pio might be reminded of who he really was, and that those who do not know him yet might learn about the inspiring life of this humble and holy man. Therefore, together with EWTN we produced the first American docudrama about the life of Saint Pio, titled: Saint Pio of Pietrelcina: Man of Hope and Healing. -
This is indeed the last of our several initiatives launched on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Saint Pio Foundation, as well as on the 25th anniversary of the beatification of Saint Pio, which includes making available 365 letters written by Saint Pio to his spiritual children and directors, access to ten (10) authentic photographs of Saint Pio for personal devotion, as well as the recording of what we consider the official hymn: "The Song of Saint Pio". All these gifts to the community, including the screening of the docudrama, are made available to everyone, free of charge.

"Padre Pio and America" is not a biography of Francesco Forgione, later known as Padre Pio. Instead, it is a tribute to him, highlighted with the fascinating life stories of those who had the privilege of meeting him and getting to know him personally.Actor Gary Sinise is perhaps today considered one of the greatest advocates about the lives of the Veterans, Militaries, and GIs. His narration of the story of William Carrigan and the GIs that met Saint Pio during World War II is an exceptional testimony that he offers while reading the book "Padre Pio and America" in the docudrama "Saint Pio of Pietrelcina: Man of Hope and Healing".
