Andrew has managed the appraisal department of several financial institution, in the New York Metropolitan area, the West Coast and other locations throughout the United States.
Andrew was responsible for the development and execution of a successful appraisal department that included authoring the bank’s appraisal policy and the ordering and review of acceptable real estate valuations for use in collateral evaluation and underwriting of commercial loans. In addition, he provided consulting experience on environmental matters for various departments at the bank.
Andrew has previous experience and education as an environmental engineer with projects completed for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Organic Chemical, Plastics and Synthetic Fibers Industry. Prior to his recent work with financial institutions, Andrew was employed with the Department of Interior, and Cushman and Wakefield in Texas.
As the principal officer of his own firm, he has provided expertise in the areas of real estate brokerage, sales, property management, and consultation of contaminated properties, tax certiorari, estate and condemnation and has testified in the courts in New York and Connecticut as an expert witness.
These assignments were completed for law firms, financial institutions, private clients, and corporations. He is a state certified real estate appraiser in New York and Texas and holds the MAI and AI-GRS real estate designations with the Appraisal Institute.
Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Pace University, NY and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Manhattan College, NY. His honors include the chemistry department award at Pace and the John J. Noto Scholarship Award given by the New York State Society of Real Estate Appraisers.
He joined the Saint Pio Foundation in 2021, and serves as its treasurer since 2022.
Most recently, Andrew enjoys spending his free time with his two grandchildren Fiona and Tristan.
