Robert Raggi, M.D.

BOCA RATON, FL -  Robert Paul Raggi, M.D., J.D., 72, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at his secondary residence in Swansboro, North Carolina. 

Dr. Raggi was born on December 17, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Arthur L. Raggi and Grace Rodriguez Raggi. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Arthur and sister, Ann Marie.   Dr. Raggi completed his bachelor's degree at St. John's University in Queens, New York. In 1978, he received his Medical Degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City. He completed a fellowship in pain management at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. He received his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School. He led a long, successful career as a healthcare leader, anesthesiologist, and pain specialist. Most recently, he served as the Chairman of Anesthesia at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC.   

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mara Raggi; children, Samantha D’Auria, LCSW (Michael) of Montvale, NJ, Melissa Raggi, Esq. (Sean Milani-nia, Esq.) of Potomac, MD; Dr. Jason Raggi of New York, NY, and their mother Carol Ann Raggi; step-children, Ian Collins (Jane) of Greensboro, NC and Katherine Collins of Boca Raton, FL; grandchildren, Marco, Stella, Lila, Ray, Tessa, Chessa and Ivan; sisters, Grace, Theresa, and Marybeth; special nephews, Arthur Raggi and William Rizzo; and several extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, located at 2 Fremont Ave, Park Ridge, NJ 07656, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 2 p.m.

Robert will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness and grace. May he rest in eternal peace.
